The Prunty family started guiding hunters in Northeastern Nevada during the early 1940's. Four generations later, Master Guide Lowell Prunty and his daughters have continued the family tradition. With over 40 years of outfitting and guiding in the Jarbidge Wilderness and Bruneau River Complex, Lowell and his team of guides bring a very accomplished resume of backcountry travel on mule and horseback, as well as hunting knowledge of the areas. With trained chefs and backcountry cooks, we also provide a well rounded menu to fuel your hunt. Jarbidge Wilderness Guide & Packing, LLC is permitted through the USDA under a special use permit and licensed through NDOW. We offer an array of hunting services, summer pack trips, and fishing trips and can customize any backcountry hunt/adventure to fit your needs. We take much pride in the services we provide and the country in which we operate. We look forward to hunting with you and having a safe, once in a lifetime backcountry experience.

HEAR FROM OUR HUNTERS

I have been putting in for a trophy bull elk hunt for 16 years in Nevada and have been waiting anxiously each spring to see if I drew the coveted Nevada Jarbidge Elk Tag. The spring draw came and went with no good news, however, the end of September rolled around and I received an Email  from NDOW, informing me that a hunter turned his tag in and I was the lucky recipient of his tag.  I immediately knew I needed help quick, as I had no time to do any scouting or research on how to go about a Jarbidge Wilderness hunt.  I searched the internet for Outfitters and found a few names.  After talking with a few outfitters, I decided that Lowell Prunty's outfit had the best plan of attack for my late season Elk tag.  Without giving up his hunting plan, it was an awesome experience.  Top notch guide, Excellent food, great horses, awesome camp and a wealth of knowledge to back up his plan. I saw more Bull Elk in four days than most hunters see in a lifetime. After discussing a plan of attack with my guide, we executed the plan and took a beautiful trophy Bull the next day. The Jarbidge Wilderness was so beautiful and I was able to  enjoy a few days with great people, couldn't have been a better Hunt.  I would recommend Jarbidge Wilderness Guide and Packing to any serious hunter looking for a great trophy!
